Charlie
If there's one thing Charlie loves, it's people, and being with people, and being involved in whatever they are doing. He has an almost unshakable belief that everyone on the planet simply must feel the same way about him. This cheeky chops will insert himself into any and all interactions with people and other dogs, and unfortunately does not yet have a great self awareness about when this isn't enthusiastically welcomed by third parties - so he would do well with another dog who is patient with his "HERE'S CHARLIE" routine.
If you are home, Charlie prefers to spend the time in your company and will complain if left in another room away from the action. Not quite a couch potato, on top of games at home and assisting with the recycling, this energetic pup lives for his two walks (of around 30-40 minutes each) a day, and does zig zag around following the smells and checking everything out so he will keep you on your toes. In his foster home, when his humans are out of the house at work for several hours he is happy to chill with his foster brother, another greyhound. He barely moves from his bed if there are not himans at home.
Charlie is non-reactive when out on the lead, even to other dogs who bark at him, and small dogs zooming around - he has even hung out politely with a cocker spaniel at home, so he is well socialised to all breeds and enjoys the company of other dogs.
Charlie is quick to learn and eager to please. He has great name recognition and also knows the cues "stay", "stand", "come", and "down"! He has conquered stairs, happily jumps into a station wagon, toilets on request, and is even learning to have his teeth brushed! Although he is a gold star Good Boi TM, Charlie's achilles heel is if a tasty treat is left accessible on a bench top so his new home will need to be prepared to manage their environment to reduce any potential opportunities for counter surfing. He does also enjoy curating collections of oddities he finds about the house, and if you're missing a sock, pair of underwear, towel, or even a pillow, you can bet Charlie's tucked it into his bed for safe keeping.
A gorgeous boy, inside and out, with an energetic spirit, and a love of affection - he will make a wonderful addition to a home who will enjoy keeping his busy mind occupied and delight in his antics.
