Buddy

Buddy is, as his name suggests, ready to be your new best friend! This beautiful brindle boy can be a bit reserved on first meeting, but he loves hard, and once he has fallen for you he really would prefer to be by your side as much as possible. For a trip to the shops or a spot of brunch, Buddy is happy to wait at home with a puzzle toy or chew (although you may come home to find he’s made a collection of items of your clothing), but a full work day is definitely not this little shadow’s speed. 

His foster carers describe this delightful boy as quirky and cheeky, he has a very puppy-like personality and loves to play. Anything is a toy for Buddy, so keeping prized possessions out of his reach is best, he also likes to collect all the things that smell like his favourite people to make a nice nest. Because he loves to find new treasures, it is important his forever home build trust by trading and teaching him not to be nervous of things being taken away to avoid any potential conflict happening.

Buddy is quite the conversationalist, and loves a chat, he isn’t shy about letting you know when it’s time to play or snuggle, and usually it’s always time to play or snuggle! Luckily at 29kgs he is practically lap dog sized, this cuddle bug adores affection and loves to be held. 

While in foster care Buddy’s confidence with other dogs has progressed, but he still prefers to avoid being too close while he is on lead, choosing to cross a road or turn around instead of walk by. He loves his walks in open spaces with room to move around, as opposed to busy streets and footpaths, and would thrive best in a house with a yard so he can take his time getting to know his new neighbourhood and building confidence on walks. 

This stunning boy has a beautiful exterior, but underneath that is an even more beautiful heart, and he can’t wait to meet the person who will see both.
